We provide comprehensive services for patients requiring a specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Patients are evaluated for all rehabilitative needs, including medications, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics. A full range of treatment options is available, including Botox(R) injections for spasticity, joint and periarticular injections, spinal injections and motor point blocks.

A variety of services are available on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Rehab Associates of Chicago physicians particpate in several support groups.

  • Dr. Young started a support group for families of brain injury patients to provide support for family members of patients who have neurological conditions and have undergone neurosurgical procedures. This group convenes Wenesday afternoons in the Neuroscience Intesive Care Unit.
  • Dr. Viscarra facilitates a Stroke Support Group for patients and families that meets the second Tuesday of every month in the third floor Tower conference room.
  • Dr. Shah runs two clinics in the office: a Wheelchair Clinic, offered twice a month with a multidisciplinary team of specialists including a wheelchair seating expert, and an Amputation/Orthotic/Prosthetic Clinic held three times a month with services provided by a certified, licensed prosthetist, a physical therapist and Dr. Shah.
